Bunny Love

Hello all and Happy Wednesday! Just a quick post today of some lovey dovey bunnies! I think these two are just TOO cute!

DP is DCWV Dots, Stripes & Plaids, sewing as usual, flower from my stash, image is Tiddly Inks colored with Copics (yup, there's a little color on there), and that's about it! My back is getting better so I'm feeling a little more crafty lately.

This will be entered in the following challenges:

And a quick pic of Beanie all dressed up for Daddy/Daughter Date night. Jay brought her flowers and they both dressed up all fancy. They had a GREAT time!

Thanks for stopping by today. I always appreciate the visit!

Drew's Cupcake

Hello and Happy Friday! YES! It's the weekend!! Got any big plans?

Today I want to share with you one of the new releases at Designed2Delight:
Let me introduce you to Drew from Drew's Cupcake. Faith has a rather new line of kids called Kaela and Drew, and this is the very first Drew!!
I colored him and cut him out the best I could with my dull scissors! I needed a little 3D action, so I popped him up. The frame is made with the scallop rectangle and regular rectangle nesties. DP is M's Just Chillin', sewing (as usual), and a little glossy accents. Sentiment is Stampin' Up's Short & Sweet.

Thanks for joining me today. If you like what you see, you should check out the Designed2Delight design team blog Card Ideas. Talk about a talented group of ladies!!

Milk Nickel

Hello all and Happy Thursday. A couple weeks ago my mom retired and her co-workers threw her a nice party. She also made out like a bandit! Gifts and gift cards! So I am now working on thank you's for her and thought I'd make a few of these little cuties:

OK, I might be giving away my age here....does anyone still call these milk nickels? These are super easy to put together. I used MTC and a file from My Scrap Chick on my Cricut. The inside is stamped "You're So Sweet." Hopefully they will get a kick out of these!

Birthday Cupcake

Hello and Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a GREAT day. Today I hope to get back to my Sun Salutations (yoga) which I've missed dearly since hurting my back. But I'm on the mend.

Yesterday Bean went to pick up her shoes and said "oooh, my back hurts....I can't pick up my shoes." Well, that's Mama's girl for you!!

Thank goodness for quick cards (I can't sit for too long right now) and great layouts. I used Create a Critter Cricut cart for the cupcake (shift-Poodle at 3") and George and Basic Shapes for the word bubble (flipped at 1.5"). DP is Paper Studio's Poteeka Souffle, sewing and glaze.

Really, who DOESN'T love a cupcake?! I think this would be great for a kid...but it's also got a retro feel to it. Well, I'll stash it away and see who it ends up going to.

Thanks for visiting today!

Painting Eggs

Hello and Happy Tuesday. So have all your bulbs sprung? Ours have and this year Bean "gets it" and makes sure to not walk on the little beauties of nature. Yup, it is spring!!
Can you believe I don't have a single Easter sentiment stamp?! So "Happy Day" was the closest thing I could think of to finish off this card with this fun Bunny Painting Eggs. Digi is Designed2Delight, colored with Copics, with added glaze. Sewing, DCWV DP, ribbons, nesties, and Ranger Ink.
Oh he's just a cutie!

Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate each and every visit!

Hello and happy Thursday, or what we at Catch the Bug like to call "Oldie But Goody" Day!! Yes, it's cause for celebration, so pull out your older (yet much loved) Bugaboo Stamps and get creative!

I have chosen one of my favorite Skelekinz and this weeks sketch at Card Positioning Systems. DP is PTI and Paper Studio's Poteeka Souffle, sewing, and glaze.

So if you get a chance, take a look at Catch the Bug for more Oldies and just a reminder that this weeks challenge is SCALLOPS.

Thinking Hedgehog

Hello and happy Tuesday! Quick share today as I try to accomplish as many things this week as possible - took spring break week off to catch up on things around the house...yup, that means spring cleaning and the such.

For this card, I'm using a Phindy image and think she is SO LOVELY! Papers are from Creative Cottage (it's actually a Christmas Pack), sewing, Glossy Accents, and hand cut tag with computer generated sentiment.

I just found out my little cousin's husband is now taking her even further away (ALASKA!!), and thought I'd send her a few cards to mail and this one to let her know she's crazy and should come back home! Just kidding...not really, but you know what I mean.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great Spring Break!

Snail Mail with Scallops

Hello and Happy Saturday!! Today a new challenge is set at Catch the Bug:
Scallops

I rarely use scallops, but like 'em alot. I used Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart at 3/4" to cut 3 rows of scallops. The DCWV Crafty Stack DP actually has scallops on it (just coincidence), sewing glaze, and the lovely Snail!

Isn't he sweet? Just LUV him! Thank you for joining me today and hope you have a lovely weekend.

Free Coffee Cup

Hello all and Happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is finally here. For one, Bean has been sick so I need to catch up on much needed sleep. For another....it's FREEBIE FRIDAY over at Bugaboo Stamps!!

The freebie today is this lovely coffee cup....and one can never have too many coffee cups!
I just got this Paper Studios mat stack and LOVE the retro feel of many of the papers. The freebie coffee cup comes with a lovely sentiment...but I thought I'd go with one from a stamp set.

So make sure to pick up your FREEBIE! You have one week to get it at this incredible price! BTW...anyone notice anything "strange" about my card? Well, I'll tell ya: NO SEWING!! I have such a dependence on my sewing machine but thought "what the heck...lets see if I can pull it off." Whatcha think? A little naked?

Well, I thank you for joining me today and have a wonderful weekend. Oh, I'll be testing out a recipe for soda bread...working on my St. Patricks day menu!

Wee Bit O' Luck

Hello and happy Wednesday. It's almost St. Patrick's Day, and considering that Bean is part Irish, I thought I'd do a few cards for the occasion. I'll also be making Shepard's Pie and something green for dessert.

Here's a Wee Bit O' Luck for you:
Now how cute is that little jar?! The set is Wee Bit and Lots O' Luck and comes with this jar and a jar full of shamrocks and 3 sentiments. Image is D2D, colored with Copics, nesties and Ranger Ink, DCWV Dots Stripes & Plaids DP, sewing, and Glossy Accents.
Just a close up....because I LOVE close ups! And just a small reminder that there is a FREEBIE (grab it before Thursday) for the progressive challenge - use the freebie by Thursday and get another freebie emailed to you! And the GREEN (as in recycle/reuse/upcycle) challenge is going on at Card-Ideas.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Easter Box

Hello and Happy Tuesday. Today I'm sharing one of the new releases at Bugaboo Stamps. Yup, it's time to get crafty for Easter!

Is it a box...or a bag? Well, I like to think of it as a little bit of both.

For this I used Bigger Bags at My Scrap Chick using Make-The-Cut on my Cricut (boy that's a mouthful!). I colored Artsy Bunny with Copics and Prismas and added Glossy Accents. Just a touch of sewing and homemade dots. I'm thinking of filling this with candy for Bean's teacher for Easter. Nothing like being ahead of the game!

Thank you for joining me today and taking a peek at the new releases at Bugaboo!

Funny Money

Hello all and Happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend!

Today at Catch the Bug is ABC Day (Anything But a Card). One thing I really enjoy is making things for Bean. I feel there are so many learning opportunities and I try my best to be creative to make it all fun.

Bean LOVES quarters. For chapel the other day, I gave her a dollar bill. She was so disappointed and wanted a quarter. I tried to explain how the paper money was more than the shiny metal money. So here we are:

I got a great template from Kids Money Farm, inserted some Bobbleheads, and printed out the new money on green paper (it's the same design on the back). These are "money size."

Of course to go along with the new money, Bean needed a new wallet. I embroidered her initials on the heart, did a blanket stitch, and filled it with fiberfill. The inside has the pocket and a little zig-zag stitch for fun.

So far, she is enjoying her "hundreds" of dollars.

Thanks for joining me today and have a great day!

Little Birds

Hello and Happy Saturday. I really can't get over how fast time flies. I was just thinking how one day leads into another and then weeks, then months. Anyway, today at Catch the Bug, a new challenge is set:

ANYTHING GOES

So speaking of flying:

An all occasion card with soft colors. I'm using Birds from Spring Stuff, DCWV Mod-Retro DP, and the layout is Splitcoaststampers SC36. I made two of these to gift to my little cousin along with a few more.

So have a great weekend and don't forget to enter the Anything Goes challenge at Catch the Bug!! Thanks so much for stopping by.

My Mom is Dino Mite

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Wow, what a busy week for me! Last night was the first chance I've had all week to get crafty....and I made this little number for my mom who is celebrating her FIRST DAY OF RETIREMENT today!!

The inside reads "You're Dino Mite" using the same Cricut cart: Create a Critter at 3.5". DP is Paper Studio's Pink Armadillo and the layout is Splitcoaststampers SC322.

It seems like my ma has worked FOREVER! She retired from the public schools first, and now from an eye clinic...so she has two retirements going on and will be living out her "golden" years, nice and comfortably. I'm so proud of her.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to pick up your Bugaboo Stamps FREEBIEs (yes, TWO freebies) today!! It's.....FREE!! It's...Bugaboo!!! You really can't go wrong.
