Candy Milk Carton

Hello all. Just a friendly reminder that you have one more day to enter the Card-Ideas challenge:
ABC -123

That means Anything But a Card with 1 Ribbon, 2 Patterned Papers, 3 Buttons

I used the Milk Carton Sizzix die through my Cuttlebug - I don't quite have the right "sandwich" so if you have it, please share! I cut the purple paper just as a band and sewed that in place. The ribbon I cut to look like grass for my Designed2Delight Stitched Bloom colored with copics.

Thank you for stopping by today and taking a peek at my ABC!

I forgot to mention - this held candy (thus my title: Candy Milk Carton) and was added to Bean's Easter Basket. She emptied it and asked me to put in a glittery rainbow. I'm glad she never asks me for the impossible :)

Snail Fun

Hello all and Happy Tuesday. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend. Ours was super busy with 3 Easter Egg hunts! Yes, 3! It wasn't our intention, it just worked out that way.

Today I'm sharing a card using Snail 1 from Just Some Lines. I like snails because they can be used for many occasions. I didn't include a sentiment and figure I'll add one when I'm ready to send this out.

I guess I liked the whole flourish thing from last weeks card and gave it another try. Using Accent Essentials Cricut Cart at 4", I think it makes a good little distraction to the layout from Eat Sleep Stamp. I added a few homemade pearls just for the fun of it!

Of course, a close up. So thank you for visiting today and hope you enjoyed today's post. Back to research - just a couple more weeks till finals and I'll get a chance to relax!

Edit: so much for auto post!

Spring Bird

Hello and Happy Saturday! Nothing like a weekend to recharge and craft! Also on Saturday, a new challenge is made at Catch the Bug:

APRIL SHOWERS
I'm using Spring Bird and lots of pink! I really wanted the umbrella to "pop" so I made it a little MORE pink than the DP. The sentiment is a $1 Michael's acrylic set. I added a little sewing and glaze - and "grandma" should receive this in the mail today (Bean loves mailing out cards)!

Show us your April Showers creations at Catch the Bug and have a GREAT weekend. I'm off to an egg hunt!

Wonder Woman Birthday

Hello all and Happy Thursday. Today I want to share with you the card I made for my brother's upcoming birthday. He LOVES Wonder Woman...but really, let's just admit that Lynda Carter is one hot lady!

Yup, big brother will be turning 49! When this image was released by Bugaboo, I knew immediately what I was going to do with it! DP is Pink Petticoat, sewing, and Opposites Attract Cricut Cart for the 49 (cut at 1.25").

I hope you can see the glittery and glossy goodness in this pic! I just added a few things here and there. So next week we will celebrate with enchiladas and cake and I hope he LOVES his card! Thanks for the visit!

Flourishes

Hello all and hope you are having a great week! I want to share a card with you today using a freebie from Just Some Lines. Who is Just Some Lines? Well, I'll give you a hint: I'm on hew new design team! I debated over whether or not to apply (with it being so close to finals and my back issues - btw, seems I have arthritis at the ripe ol' age of 38!!). In the end, I applied and was accepted!

So, I am NOT a flourish type of person. I have tried and failed MANY times. I LOVE the look on other people's work, but just can't seem to incorporate it into my own. Last night I was determined - using Accent Essentials Cricut Cart at 3" (flip). With help from Jay, this is my final product. Watcha think?

So I hope you enjoy my future creations using Just Some Lines stamps! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Rainy Day Bear

Hello all and Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! As for me, just catching up on my research papers...I seem to always wait till the last minute.

Today I'm featuring Rainy Day Bear from Bugaboo stamps. Since there are no new releases this month, the generous Jodie (artist) is offering this up as a freebie - on a Tuesday! So make sure to pick him up!

I know, I went a little wild with my patterned papers. I guess I was having an indecisive moment! Also includes sentiment from Stampin' Up's Trendy Trees and sewing. I think if you click on the pic, you can see my rainy day bear a little better - go ahead, click, you know you want to ;)

So feel free to visit Catch the Bug (Bugaboo's DT blog) for more examples using this cutie. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hopefully tonight, I will make a dent in my school work so I can start a new project - inspired by Sandy...oh I hope I can make it on time!!

Easter Bobblehead

Hello and Happy Saturday! The weekend is here, and a new challenge has been set at Catch the Bug:

EASTER

This was a great opportunity to make a card for Bean's little cousin Rhys:

I'm using Rabbit Bobblehead and hopefully some DP that isn't too girly. I don't have a single Easter stamp, so I'll hand write a sentiment inside. Hopefully the kids will be able to "hunt" together this year!

Thanks for joining me today and hope you get a chance to enter your Easter creation at Catch the Bug!

Dancing Birthday

Hello and Happy Wednesday! So I had a conversation with my daughter:
Bean: That's SO cute!
Me: Thanks baby.
Bean: Is that for me?
Me: Why does everything have to be for you?
Bean: Because you never give me any of your stuff (cards).

You know what? She's right! I didn't even make her a card for her birthday last year! I'm such a bad mama. So I slapped a "4" on this card and decided this will be for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

I'm using Dancing Mice from Designed2Delight, $1 Target Bin DP, ribbon, sewing, and Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart for the "4" (cut at 1.75").

Just a reminder that this weeks challenge at Card Ideas (Designed2Delight's Design Team Blog) is Kidding Around! Make a kid card!

Thanks for the visit and hope you enjoyed today's post.

Garden Party

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you had a GREAT weekend! I live in a dessert, and this weekend, we had lots of wind, major dust storms, and watery eyes and sneezes!

Today I want to share with you this weeks Designed2Delight image. This image was free to those who participated in last weeks Delightful Inspirations challenge. If you didn't get this for free, you can find it in the shop, play this week, and get next weeks image for FREE!
Aren't they adorable?! I thought this could make a great birthday card. I wasn't sure yet, so I left it without a sentiment and will add one inside. I really enjoyed this color combo using a really old mat stack!

So play along with this weeks image to get next weeks image for free! And if you get a chance, leave some love at the DT blog Card Ideas!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week!

Sweet Easter Bunny

Hello and Happy Thursday. Today at Catch the Bug is Oldie But Goody day where the DT features older (but much loved) Bugaboo images. I'm currently working on a few cards for Easter and here is one featuring a super cute WeeOne:

Now how cute is she? This means she is either going to Bean, or to her cousin Juliana...because she reminds me of the girls who are both 3years old.

Now here's a close up (as usual). And below, a pic of the girls last year with their ears on! See why I'm reminded of them?!

Thank you for stopping by to see todays Oldie but Goody! I appreciate your visit!

Spring Peep

Hello all and Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Today I'm sharing a card that put me a little outside my comfort zone....ok, it put me a LOT outside my zone. I don't usually use bright papers, but have had this pack for over a year now and never cut into it.

The image is Spring Peep by Designed2Delight, colored with Copics, shaded with Ranger Inks, with plenty of Glossy Accents. Are you wondering about the sentiment? Well, this was first stamped "friend" on the green area just below my image. The "R" in friend looked like an "A" and I felt it was unreadable. So, I covered it up the best I could.

So when all was said and done, I thought "oh great, I need sunglasses to even look at this!" Jay walks in and says "oh, I like that one! Great colors!" without me even asking for his opinion. So this is now on it's way to Auntie Diane!

Thanks for joining me today!

Puppy MTC

Hello all and hope you're enjoying your Saturday! Yes, it's finally Saturday. Today we will hop on the Harley and take a nice long drive to Jemez. Maybe we will even get in a hot spring to relax my back a bit. Today is also Catch the Bug's Challenge day, and the new challenge is:

ANYTHING GOES

Which is usually a favorite for most! So I made a shaped card using one of my favorite sets: Rottweiler Puppies.

I imported this digi into MTC and LOVE the look! The card measures around 4" x 5", I added chalk inks for shading and used white pen for the eyes. I just realized I forgot my glossy accents!!

So digi's aren't just for coloring anymore! I've created a few of these, so be on the look out for more. With the dull ache in my back, creating the MTC files has been quite relaxing.

So enter your ANYTHING GOES creation at Catch the Bug and use a BUGABOO image to qualify for the grand prize!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
